Day 5

Subject: Keep it real, [firstname]

Hey [firstname],

With what you've read so far, you may be tempted to rush out and start living the entrepreneur's lifestyle, but I'd caution you to wait just a second. A lot of people have unrealistic expectations of what's required to be a successful entrepreneur the sacrifices you'll have to make, and so on. So today I want to concentrate on some of the downsides to starting and running your own business.

Working less is one of the most marketed advantages of having your own business. However, this could not be further from the truth. You cannot expect to make a decent living by only doing a couple of hours work. Sorry [firstname], but the four hour work week is a myth especially in the early days. A business is more like a child: It needs to be nurtured until it fully develops. That means time and dedication.

Which sadly means you won't get rich quick!

There's never been a better time to start a business especially an online one. Today there are a wide range of options to choose from. Unfortunately, this also means that there are plenty of chances of stumbling upon a scam.

One of the most common scam gimmicks is how a product can help you get rich quickly and easy. This trick is used a lot, and if you don't know any better, you could easily fall for it.

The only way to get rich quick is to win the lottery even then you might play it for years without seeing a dime.

Finally, the lure of not having a boss attracts a lot of people. It is no secret that a lot of employees do not like their boss. No one wants to be told what to do and yelled at if something is not right.

But you know who the hardest boss you'll ever work for is?

You!

That's right. You're the least satisfied employer you'll ever have and that's true for every entrepreneur.

Talk soon!
